Lauren and Bryant's Winter Outing in the City

A couple embraces on a rooftop, with the man kissing the woman's cheek. Both are smiling against a backdrop of urban brick buildings.

Believe it or not, snow was frozen on the ground the morning of this shoot. Despite this, these two were ready and willing to face the cold and capture some beautiful photos!

We started at one of my favorite parking garages downtown. State Street Garage offers outstanding views of the downtown Knoxville skyline, and the structure itself is visually appealing!

A couple holding hands walks on a rooftop parking lot. The man is in a white shirt, black pants; the woman wears a white dress. Concrete wall backdrop.

Next, we took some time to capture a couple shots at the most iconic spot downtown- the Tennessee sign! It was first installed back in 1928 with the opening of the Tennessee theatre.

We continued to wander downtown, taking advantage of the historic architecture and urban vibes that makes Downtown Knoxville special.

Finally, we wrapped up exploring a few the most charming spots on Union Avenue.

Lauren and Bryant were such a joy to photograph—easygoing and obviously head over heels for each other! Even in the freezing temperatures, they brought all the warmth to this session just by being together. It’s always special when a couple trusts the process, embraces the moment, and lets their connection shine through.

Planning your wedding, elopement, or session?
