Day After Grand Teton Elopement Session
Prioritize Slowing Down and Enjoying Your Wedding Day, While Still Capturing Adventurous Portraits
Jacklynn and Riley had an intimate ceremony at Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming, and a small AirBnB reception with their friends and family that night in Jackson Hole. After their big day, we met back up in the national park at Jenny Lake to get some amazing “day-after” photos!

A day-after session, for those who don’t know, is basically a photo session after the wedding (usually the day after). Couples may choose to book a day-after session for a few reasons:
A) They can concentrate on spending more time with their guests and loved ones on their wedding day, because they have saved time taking portraits for later.
B) It allows the opportunity for couples to get photos at an epic location that would have required too much travel or time to fit in their wedding day timeline.
Your wedding day is one of the most magical experiences of your life, but it can pass by so quickly that you barely have time to soak it all in. This allows a chance to slow down, reconnect, and capture even more of your love story. Whether it’s hiking to a breathtaking mountain overlook, revisiting the spot where you exchanged your vows, or exploring somewhere completely new, a day-after session gives you the freedom to celebrate your union in an intentional and stress-free way.
One of the best parts of a day-after session is the flexibility to make it uniquely yours. For destination elopers, it could be the perfect time to capture adventurous portraits at a secondary location like Jacklynn and Riley. They had their Grand Teton Elopement ceremony was at a mountain overlook, but they still wanted photos in front of a lake. Scheduling a day after session allowed them to get the best of both worlds without cramping their timeline!

For weddings, it’s an opportunity for the couple to slip back into wedding attire or opt for something more casual, all while focusing on each other instead of a packed schedule.
Day-after sessions can be anything you make them. They are about creating meaningful memories highlighting the unique story of your wedding or elopement day!
Planning your wedding or elopement? I would be honored to capture your day and help make it unforgettable.
